Emily Osment concert, Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo, Abita Springs Opry on Saturday in New Orleans

Party in the Park (City Park, 1 Palm Drive, 842.7125) Ochsner Health System sponsors a family event benefiting Ochsner's Pediatric Family Assistance Fund featuring a concert by Emily Osment of "Hannah Montana" and unlimited rides in the Carousel Gardens amusement area, 6-9 p.m. Admission: $40 per person.

"Left Behind" Celebration (Moonwalk, behind Jackson Square; 504.282.5459) In anticipation of the Rapture, which Harold Camping has predicted will take place today, the Secular Humanist Association hosts a balloon release, with costumed participants sending messages up to "raptured" family, friends and neighbors, followed by a party at Napoleon's Itch, 734 Bourbon St., with raffles, contests and cash bar, 7 p.m. All "Left Behinds" are welcome to come.
